For this reason, the invagination processes of the artery stumps controlled by the elastic structure of the vessel walls and consequently the spontaneous arterial hemostasis are obstructed. The importance in establishing the type and position of the cut artery is demonstrated by means of an exactly dissected model limb.

If your veins roll, apply a second tourniquet below the site you are going to stick. You can also use your thumb and another finger to stretch the skin over the vein. You may need another person to do this. If you have trouble getting the needle through your skin, rub your skin with a cream every day to keep it soft.
Caution : Never use veins on the underside of your wrist. They are too close to the nerves and arteries. The blood moving from the heart is moving under high pressure, the blood returning to the heart is moving under very low pressure. If you cut yourself and an artery is bleeding, it squirts a long way and it will have a pulse. If a vein is bleeding, the sight of it will still be disturbing, but it will not be pulsatile and it will be low pressure.
The arteries supply freshly oxygenated blood, the veins bring back the used blood back to the lungs for recharge. Arteries and veins are two separate parts of one system that circulates your blood all day and all night.
