A brand new series of Call The Midwife began last week. Season 9 of the drama series , which paints a colourful picture of family and midwifery in post-war east London , started on Saturday 5 January. Adapted from the best-selling memoirs of Jennifer Worth by Heidi Thomas, the eight-episode series will once again follow the life of Jenny, who joins a community of eccentric nuns working as nurses at Nonnatus House. Along the tour you'll recognise the cobbled streets and buildings of 'Poplar' plus iconic locations such as the Grosvenor Hotel and 'Chummy's Hill', where Nurse Noakes famously learnt to ride her bike. St Joseph's College complex in north London was previously used for filming.
